The MG Distillery is a family business that uses authentic hand-loaded copper pot stills. Much like growing and harvesting the botanicals used in the MG gin recipe, the distillation process is handled manually. Working for more than 150 years, the GIro family distillery is located in Spain, on the Teruel estate, in the town of Vilanova. The Gin MG Rosa is a colorful and gourmet variation of the classic London Dry Gin in which the iconic juniper berry shares the limelight with the strawberry aroma. Fruity and tasty, it is also sweet and very fresh.
Particularly popular in mixology, gin is a plant-flavored brandy that forms the basis of many famous cocktails. Dry Martini, Gin Fizz, Gin Tonic, Cucumber Lemonade, and many more have become staple drinks in cocktail bars. Although it was less popular for a while, gin has now made a strong comeback with original, audacious recipes rich in aromas that have never been seen before for this type of spirit.
While the traditional gin recipe invariably contains juniper berries, which are responsible for its distinctive taste, various alcohol and spirits producers no longer hesitate to vary the choice and dosage of herbs, aromatics, plants and spices depending on the flavors they want to achieve.
